Descriptions on where and how to find us are in the Finding us section

Question:

What are your opening hours for the shop?

Answer:

At present opening hours for the shop are Monday to Friday 8am to 5.30pm.

Question:

When I phone up, why do you ask so many questions?

Answer:

We try to be as thorough as possible with our questions, so we get all the information to look for the products that you require. For example, in the fastening industry there are thousands of different fixings to choose from, if we know the material you're working with, this eliminates a couple of hundred fixings you could use straight away. So be patient, we're asking the questions to get you the best product for the job.

Question:

Socket caps, hex sets or bolts. Aren't they the same thing?

Answer:

They are all fastenings. However they are all different. A hex headed bolt is hexagon headed, threaded fastening with an amount of plain shank (shoulder) that can fit tightly into a hole if drilled to the correct size. A hex headed set is a hexagon headed, threaded fastening which has thread down its entire body. The Socket cap head screw is a fastening with a knurled cheese head with an allen/hexagon key fitting in the top, and tend to be 12.9 tensile strength. These can be supplied in a set form also.
Both the Hex bolt and set are available in 8.8 and 10.9 tensile strength.
